Bharti Summary
Short History: – The genesis of the Territorial Army in India can be traced back to the first war of Independence in 1857, when a Volunteer Force was raised. In 1917 Indian Defence Force Act was enacted. Under the Indian Defence Force Act all the universities were asked to provide contingents to the Defence Force. Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose joined the Calcutta University Corps of Indian Defence Force in 1918.

Training with the University Corps helped him later in leading the Indian Army in the struggle for freedom. Pt Jawharlal Nehru was part of the Allahabad University Corps. As a matter of interest Mahatma Gandhi also joined the South Africa Volunteer Force in 1898 and 1905 and was a Sergeant Maj with the Indian Ambulance Corps during the Boer war and Zulu rebellion.
The Territorial Army was formally inaugurated by the first Indian Governor General Shri C Rajagopalachari on 09 Oct 1949. This day is being celebrated as the Territorial Army Day. To make the countrymen conscious of existence of the ‘Citizen’s Army’ the first Territorial Army week was celebrated from 08-15 Nov 1952.

Territorial Army Officer Recruitment 2021:
- Nationality: Only citizens of India (male and female).
- Age Limits: 18 to 42 years as on last day of filing of application i.e. 19 Aug 2021.
- Educational Qualifications: Graduate from any recognized university.
- Physical Standards: A candidate must be physically and medically fit in all respects.
- Employment: Gainfully Employed.

TA Army Bharti 2021-22 – Latest Notification:
The online application process for this recruitment has started, and the last date for submission of online applications is August 19, 2021. Territorial Army candidates are promoted to the rank of lieutenant after getting selected. The salary, allowances and privileges of the selected applicants will be the same as that of regular Army officers serving in the same post.
The Territorial Army, on the other hand, is a part-time service idea, which means it is available for only two months of training each year. After selection, selected applicants to the post of lieutenant will be paid a salary between Rs. 56,100 to Rs. 1,77,500 per month depending on the pay grade. The application submission process for the Territorial Army has started from Tuesday, July 20. The application deadline is August 19, 2021, while the first deadline is August 19, 2020.
TA Army Rally Recruitment 2021-22 Required Documents:
- Application Form IAF (TA)-9 (Revised) Part-2 to be downloaded from www.jointerritorialarmy.gov.in and fill it up in their own hand writing.
- All educational qualification certificates (Matric onwards).
- Latest physical fitness certificate from a registered MBBS Doctor.
- Copy of Identity proof with photographs (Voter ID/PAN Card/ Passport/ Driving license etc).
- Domicile/ Residential proof.
- Certificate for proof of age (Matric/ Senior Secondary mark sheet and certificate for verification of date of birth).
- Service certificate by candidates employed in Central Govt/ Union Territory/ State/Semi Govt/ Private Sector Authenticated by Head Office along with salary certificate and No Objection Certificate by the department as per format given below.
- Self-employed candidates are required to submit an Affidavit on Non-Judicial stamp paper of minimum value duly attested stating nature of employment and annual income along with photocopy of PAN card and self-certified character certificate.
- Candidates whose names vary in documents should submit copy of Gazette notification of India/ State showing the correct name or an affidavit duly supported by newspaper cuttings.
- Latest income proof from the appropriate authority (i.e. Income Tax Revenue Department / Magistrate / Employer).
- Copy of PAN Card.
- Copy of Aadhar Card.
- Copy of latest Income Tax Return (ITR) filed.
- Employees of Railways are required to submit No Objection Certificate authenticated by Railway Board.
Territorial Army Bharti 2021 Date
TA Army Benefits & Allowances: – All medals and awards that are eligible for the Regular Army are available to you. Rank pay as per rules of regular army. When it comes to service avatar, DA is used as needed. If you complete 3 to 5 annual training camps, you will get special increment. Officers with 20 years of embodied service are eligible for pension as are JCOs and other ranks along with 15 years of actual physical service. After 10 years of physical/ physical duty, you can stay in the facilities of Army Welfare Housing Organization.
At the time of release or retirement, a terminal gratuity is paid (other than civil government employees). Pensioners are entitled to ex-serviceman status as well as free medical care. Cash prizes ranging from Rs 2500/- to Rs 5000/- are given to TA personnel by some state governments and departments. Cash prizes range from Rs 2500/- to Rs 5000/- and are given by some state governments and departments on the award of TA decoration or TA medal. Departments like ONGC and IOC provide lump sum daily allowance along with mufti allowance.
Territorial Army Recruitment 2021 Dates
The application process has started and the last date for submission of applications is August 19. This year’s written exam will be held on 26 September. After the written test, shortlisted applicants will be required to attend an interview stage.

How to apply online for TA Army Bharti 2021-22?
- The online application can be filled from 20 July 2021 to 19 August 2021 till 11.59 PM after which the link will be disabled.
- Applicants must ensure that while filling their application form, they are providing their valid and active e-mail ID as the concerned authorities may use electronic mode of communication while contacting them at various stages of the examination process.
- Candidates are strongly advised to apply online on time without waiting for the last date for submission of online applications.
- While filling the application form, the candidate must take a careful decision about his/her choice for the center for the examination.
- Candidates should note that no request for change of center will be accepted.
- Candidates are advised in their own interest to keep a copy of the print out of the filled online form.
TA Army Bharti 2021 Selection process:
- Candidates whose applications are found to be in order will be called for screening by the concerned Territorial Army Group Headquarters by the Preliminary Interview Board (PIB) (interview followed by written examination followed by written examination only).
- Successful candidates will have to undergo further testing at Services Selection Board (SSB) and Medical Board for final selection.
- Vacancies for male and female candidates will be determined as per organizational requirement.
