Introduction
Headquarters Recruiting Zone, Bangalore is located on Mahatma Gandhi Road the prime area of Bangalore, the Garden City of India. It is responsible to undertake recruitment of soldiers from the state of Karnataka, Kerala, and UT of Lakshadweep and Mahe.
Brief History – The erstwhile Recruiting Zone (South) was established at Bangalore in 1937 and was responsible for recruitment from all the Southern States of India. Consequent to the reorganization of the recruitment organization on 01 Jul 1984, the states of Karnataka, Kerala, Goa, and the Union Territories of Lakshadweep and Mahe, were re-grouped in its jurisdiction. Since 2004, the state of Goa has been placed under HQ Recruiting Zone, Pune. HQ Rtg Zone, Bangalore has a Recruiting Office Co-located with it, besides four Army Recruiting Offices, located at Belgaum, Mangalore, Trivandrum, and Calicut.

Karnataka Army Bharti – Education Criteria-
Sol GD – Class 10th /Matric pass with Min 45% marks in aggregate and Min 33% in each subject.
Soldier Technical (Technical Arms, Artillery, Army Air Defence) – 10+2/Intermediate Exam pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English with min 50% marks in aggregate and min 40% marks in each subject.
Soldier Clerk / Store Keeper Technical (All Arms) – 10+2/Intermediate Examination Pass in any stream (Arts, Commerce, Science) with min 60% marks in aggregate and min 50% in each subject. Securing 50% in English and Maths/Accounts/Book keeping in Class 12th is mandatory.
Soldier Nursing Assistant (Army Medical Corps) – 10+2/Intermediate Exam pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with min 50% marks in aggregate and min 40% in each subject.
Sepoy Pharma (Army Medical Corps) – 10+2 or equivalent exam passed with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English qualified in D Pharma with minimum 55% marks in aggregate and registered with State Pharmacy Council/Pharmacy Council of India. Individual qualified in B Pharma with minimum 50% marks and registered with State Pharmacy Council/Pharmacy Council of India will also be eligible.
Karnataka Army Bharti 2021-
Soldier Nursing Assistant Veterinary (Remount Veterinary Corps) – 10+2 / Intermediate exam pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with Min 50% marks in aggregate and minimum 40% in each subject.
Soldier Tradesmen (10th & 8th) – 10th Simple Pass/ 8th Simple pass. No stipulation in aggregate percentage but should have scored min 33% in each subject.
Survey Automated Cartographer (Engineers) – BA / B Sc with Maths. Must have also passed 12th class (10+2) or equivalent with Maths and Science as main subjects.
JCO Religious Teacher (All Arms) – Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.
JCO Catering (Army Service Corps) – 10+2 or equivalent exam and Diploma / Certificate Course of a duration of one year or more in Cookery / Hotel Management and Catering Tech from a recognized University / Food Craft Institute. AICTE recognition is not mandatory.
Havildar Education(Army Education Corps) – Group X – MA/M Sc/MCA or BA/B Sc/BCA/B Sc (IT) with BEd. Group Y – B Sc / BA / BCA / B Sc (IT) (w/o B Ed).
Karnataka Army Bharti – Age Criteria-
Candidates Minimum Age limit – 17 1/2 Years, Maximum age 21 years for GD.
Candidates Minimum Age limit – 19 years & Maximum age 25 years for D Pharma.
SAC/ Education Havildar – Age Limit – 20 years to 25 years.
Candidates Minimum Age – 17 1/2 years, Maximum age 23 years for all Other Posts.
Candidates should not have been born earlier than 01/10/1997, 99 and later than 01/04/2003.

(ii) Between 9000 ft to 12000 ft, Add 120 Secs to all timings.
Karnataka Army Bharti – Medical Test Criteria:
(a) As per laid down medical standards at the Rally site.
(b) Unfit candidates will be referred to MH/ CH/ BH for specialist review. Candidates referred for specialist review should present themselves to the nominated MH/ CH/ BH within 14 days of the referral and report back to ARO/RO (HQ) for issue of Admit Card for CEE in case declared FIT.
Karnataka Army Bharti – Written Test:
(a) Will be conducted for medically fit candidates at nominated venue. Location, Date and time of written test will be intimated at rally site / through CEE Admit Cards.
(b) Admit card for the CEE for the Rally Fit candidates will be issued at Rally Site itself.
(c) Admit card for the CEE for the Review Fit cases will be issued after getting medically fit by concerned specialist / specialists at MH/ CH/ BH.

Candidates are required to bring following documents / certificates in original with two attested photocopies with them to the rally site:-
- Admit Card – Printed with Laser Printer on good quality paper.
- Photograph – Twenty copies of unattested Passport size colour photographs.
- Education Certificate – 8th, 10th, & 12th from recognized School/ College/ Board/ University.
- Domicile Certificate – with photographs, issued by Tehsildar/ District Magistrate.
- Caste Certificate – affixed with photograph of the candidate, issued by the Tehsildar / District Magistrate.
- Religion Certificate – issued by the Tehsildar / SDM.
- School Character Certificate – issued by the School/ College Principal/ Headmaster where the candidate last studied.
- Character Certificate – by village Sarpanch/ Municipal Corporation within six months.
- Unmarried Certificate – Unmarried certificate for candidates less than 21 yrs of age with photographs issued by village Sarpanch/ Municipal Corporation within six months.
- Relationship Certificate – The certificate for required SOS / SOEX/ SOW/ SOWW candidates.
- NCC Certificate – NCC A/B/C pass certificates will only be accepted if authenticate by concerned NCC Group Commanders.

- Affidavit – Duly signed by candidate on Rs 10/- Non-Judicial Stamp paper as per specimen duly attested by notary will be submitted by candidate (format as per Appendix ‘C’).
- Single Bank A/C, PAN Card & AADHAR Card – are mandatory documents for final enrollment for purpose of Pay & Allowances and other social benefits scheme.
Tattoo:- Permanent body tattoos are only permitted on inner face of forearms i.e from inside of elbow to the wrist and on the reverse side of palm / back (dorsal) side of hand. Permanent body tattoos on any other part of the body are not acceptable and candidates are likely to be REJECTED for further selection.
| CAUTION- Entry at recruitment rally site will only be permitted to candidates in possession of valid Admit Cards, COVID free/asymptomatic certificate, No-Risk certificate (duly signed by competent medical authority), valid Affidavit duly filled and signed by Notary. Candidates should have proper hair cut and clean-shaven (beard, chest hair, auxiliary hair, and pubic hair with crew hair cut) |
| Karnataka Army Bharti – Special Instruction COVID-19:- All candidates will produce a covid-19 free/asymptomatic certificate and no risk certificate as per Appendix ‘c’ and ‘d’ respectively. An asymptomatic certificate should have been issued within 72hrs prior to the rally reporting day.
All candidates will be thermally screened at the rally site. Candidates having temperatures/ showing symptoms will be directed to report again on a designated day for such cases. If the candidate is again having symptoms, he will not be allowed to participate in the rally. All candidates will be carrying masks, gloves, and hand sanitizer. |
