History:
Prior to 1947, Headquarter Recruiting Zone (Punjab and J&K) and Army Recruiting Office (Headquarters) were co-located at Lahore. After partition. Headquarter Recruiting Zone (Punjab and Jammu &Kashmir) was relocated to Jalandhar Cantt and started functioning from its present location with effect from 01 July 1948. The zone had an entire state of erstwhile Punjab under its jurisdiction.
Army Recruiting Office (Headquarters) presently has four districts of Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur, Kapurthala, and Shahid Bhagat Singh Nagar under its jurisdiction. In addition to its charter of responsibilities of recruiting which are at par with any other Army Recruiting Office, the Army Recruiting Office (Headquarters), Jalandhar Cantt also screens candidates for Religious Teacher, Havildar Education, and conducts online testing (Common Entrance Examination) of Soldier Nursing Assistant category from Punjab and Jammu & Kashmir. GD – Class 10th/ Matric with 45% marks in aggregate and 33% in each subject. For Boards following grading sys minimum of D Grade (33-40) in individual subjects or grade which contains 33% and overall aggregate of C2 grade.
Technical – 10+2 / Intermediate exam pass in science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English with min 50% marks in aggregate and min 40% mks in each subject.
NA/ VET – 10+2 / Intermediate exam pass in science with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Botany, Zoology, and English with min with 50% marks in aggregate and 40% marks in each subject.
Clerk/ SKT – 10+2 / Intermediate exam pass in any stream (Arts, Commerce, Science) with 60% marks in aggregate and min 50% in each subject. Securing 50% in English and Maths / Accounts / Book Keeping in Class 12th is mandatory.
D Pharma/ Sepoy Pharma – 10+2 or equivalent exam pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English Qualified in D Pharma with min 55% marks in aggregate and registered with State Pharmaceutical Council/ Pharmacy Council of India. HQ Jalandhar Army Bharti – Medical Test Criteria:
(a) As per laid down medical standards at the Rally site.
(b) Unfit candidates will be referred to MH/ CH/ BH for specialist review. Candidates referred for specialist review should present themselves to the nominated MH/ CH/ BH within 14 days of the referral and report back to ARO/RO (HQ) for issue of Admit Card for CEE in case declared FIT.
HQ Jalandhar Army Bharti – Written Test:
(a) Will be conducted for medically fit candidates at nominated venue. Location, Date and time of written test will be intimated at rally site / through CEE Admit Cards.
(b) Admit card for the CEE for the Rally Fit candidates will be issued at Rally Site itself.
(c) Admit card for the CEE for the Review Fit cases will be issued after getting medically fit by concerned specialist / specialists at MH/ CH/ BH.

- Photograph – Twenty copies of unattested Passport size colour photographs.

Tattoo:- Permanent body tattoos are only permitted on inner face of forearms i.e from inside of elbow to the wrist and on the reverse side of palm / back (dorsal) side of hand. All candidates will produce a covid-19 free/asymptomatic certificate and no risk certificate as per Appendix ‘c’ and ‘d’ respectively. An asymptomatic certificate should have been issued within 72hrs prior to the rally reporting day. All candidates will be thermally screened at the rally site. Candidates having temperatures/ showing symptoms will be directed to report again on a designated day for such cases. If the candidate is again having symptoms, he will not be allowed to participate in the rally. All candidates will be carrying masks, gloves, and hand sanitizer. |
