Summary – BEG Centre Roorkee Army Bharti – The Bengal Engineer Group (BEG) (informally the Bengal Sappers or Bengal Engineers) is a military engineering regiment in the Corps of Engineers of the Indian Army. The unit was originally part of the Bengal Army of the East India Company’s Bengal Presidency, and subsequently part of the British Indian Army during the British Raj. The Bengal Sappers are stationed at Roorkee Cantonment in Roorkee, Uttarakhand.
On the accession of George V to the throne in 1910 it was renamed 1st King George V’s Own Bengal Sappers and Miners, with the ‘1st’ being dropped in 1923, to make it King George V’s Own Bengal Sappers and Miners. In 1937 it was renamed King George V’s Bengal Sappers and Miners, and in 1941 they became the ‘King George V’s Bengal Sappers and Miners Group of the Indian Engineers. In 1946 it became the ‘King George V’s Group’ of the Royal Indian Engineers. On Indian independence and partition in 1947, about half of the serving personnel were allocated to the Pakistan Royal Engineers. In 1950 they became the Bengal Centre, Corps of Engineers, after which they became the Bengal Engineer Group and Centre.
Eligible candidates, who aspire to join the Indian Army are required to attend Sports Rally Bharti after carefully reading the advertisement regarding the selection process, eligibility criteria, online submit processes, payment of prescribed application fee, issuance of call letters, etc.
Interested and eligible candidates can participate in BEG Center Roorkee Sambhand Bharti. The rally will be for field personnel including warfare personnel / sons of ex-servicemen / soldiers and brothers of soldiers / ex-servicemen.

BEG Centre Roorkee Army Bharti – Education Qualification:
GD – Class 10th/ Matric with 45% marks in aggregate and 33% in each subject. For Boards following grading sys minimum of D Grade (33-40) in individual subjects or grade which contains 33% and overall aggregate of C2 grade.
Technical – 10+2 / Intermediate exam pass in science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English with min 50% marks in aggregate and min 40% mks in each subject.
NA/ VET – 10+2 / Intermediate exam pass in science with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Botany, Zoology, and English with min with 50% marks in aggregate and 40% marks in each subject.
Clerk/ SKT – 10+2 / Intermediate exam pass in any stream (Arts, Commerce, Science) with 60% marks in aggregate and min 50% in each subject. Securing 50% in English and Maths / Accounts / Book Keeping in Class 12th is mandatory.
Sol Tdn 10th Pass – Candidates should have passed 10th class. No stipulation in aggregate percentage but should have scored minimum 33% in each subject.
Sol Tdn 8th Pass – Class 8th simple pass (For System, House Keeper & Mess Keeper). (ii) No stipulation in aggregate percentage but should have scored minimum 33% in each subject.

BEG Centre Roorkee Army Bharti – Medical Test Criteria:
(a) As per laid down medical standards at the Rally site.
(b) Unfit candidates will be referred to MH/ CH/ BH for specialist review. Candidates referred for specialist review should present themselves to the nominated MH/ CH/ BH within 14 days of the referral and report back to ARO/RO (HQ) for issue of Admit Card for CEE in case declared FIT.
BEG Centre Roorkee Army Bharti – Written Test:
(a) Will be conducted for medically fit candidates at nominated venue. Location, Date and time of written test will be intimated at rally site / through CEE Admit Cards.
(b) Admit card for the CEE for the Rally Fit candidates will be issued at Rally Site itself.
(c) Admit card for the CEE for the Review Fit cases will be issued after getting medically fit by concerned specialist / specialists at MH/ CH/ BH.

As per the program, candidates are advised to bring the following documents in original on the day of BEG Center Roorkee Sambhand Bharti.
Documents must be properly arranged in a sequence and included in a file cover containing a set of photostat copies, photocopied in English by each gazetted officer with their name and seal. Candidates are advised to check the mismatch marking of their certificates and date of birth, parents name, school, and other details in various certificates. All documents / rubber stamps / seals must be in English.
